Coconut Festival Serves Up Mixed Plate of Fun
Prepare to be thoroughly entertained at Kauai’s annual Coconut Festival at Kapaa Beach Park. The two-day Polynesian and coconut-themed cultural fest, which runs Oct. 3 and 4, offers unique entertainment, coconut crafts, kooky coconut games, crazy coconut foods, and more.
Quirky contests will also be held (coconut cook-offs and pie eating, just to name a few), along with some of the best artists, entertainers, and artisans in Hawaii. Enjoy non-stop music, taiko drummers, the hula, and loads of fun!
Visitors will also get to see cooking demonstrations from some of the best chefs across the island. But this isn’t just a spectator event, your taste buds will get a front seat to experience these fantastic creations.
The keiki (children) will have lots of things to keep them entertained as well. The fest will host a children’s stage, petting zoo, inflatables, and coconut activities.
You may also choose to partake in hands-on cultural activities that will deeper connect you to our lovely island life. An area will also be dedicated to teaching the uses and by-products of coconuts.
The festivities begin each day at 10 a.m. at Kapaa Beach Park and last until 8 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. Kids 12 and under are free.
