Here it is. The answer to all your questions. How far away is the beach? Do you offer early check in and late check out? How do I get from the airport to the resort? All the answers to the most frequently asked questions are listed below.

What construction will be taking place during my stay?

If you are staying at the resort anytime prior to January, 2017, we will be finishing construction of a 12,000 sq ft conference center, poolside bar & grill, and 350,000 gallon saltwater lagoon pool.

When is construction taking place?

Construction takes place between 9a and 5.30p with breaks on Sundays and major holidays. The entire project is scheduled for completion in late 2016 / early 2017.

How many pools do you have?

Currently, we have two resort pools. The first is a 6,100 square foot family lagoon pool. The second is our tranquility waterfall pool which is only open to adults. Both have full poolside food and beverage service, BBQs, and Jacuzzis.

We are finishing construction of a 350,000 gallon saltwater lagoon pool towards the end of 2016 / beginning of 2017. It will have poolside cabanas, a swim-through grotto and waterslide, and a poolside bar & grill.

How close is Koloa Landing to the beach?

We are about ½ mile from a family friendly beach that offers plenty of parking. Walking takes approximately 10 – 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can drive to the beach, which only takes a couple minutes.

Additionally, Koloa Landing has two, 12-seat passenger vans to take guests to any beach in the immediate Poipu area.

What transportation does the property offer?

Great question! Koloa Landing is proud to feature two, 12-seat, passenger vans that are available to take guests anywhere in the immediate Poipu area. This includes the beach, shops, & restaurants. This service is complimentary for our guests.

What time is check-in and checkout?

Check-in time is at 4pm and checkout is 11am.

Does Koloa Landing have beach gear available for rent?

Absolutely! We have everything from beach chairs, to snorkel gear, to surf boards at our on-site Koloa Landing Beach Club. The Beach Club is located next to our main resort pool. The Beach Club is open 7 days a week from 9am to 2pm and can be reached at (808) 240 – 6626.

Where is Koloa Landing? How do I get there from the airport?

Is Koloa Landing beachfront?

The property is not beachfront. Beaches in Kauai are by law public. That means crowds of tourists, noise, and often theft. We avoid all this by not being beachfront but are still close enough to walk.

Is it recommended to have a rental car?

This depends. If you will be doing a lot of island activities such as zip lining, ATV tours, Napali Hikes, then it is probably best to have a rental car to get around. However, if you are mostly relaxing at the resort while pondering the meaning to life, dining and shopping next door and walking to the beach at the Sheraton, you certainly can get by without a car.

How close is Koloa Landing to off-site shopping and dining options?

We are adjacent to the newest shopping development on Kauai which offers some of the nicest shopping and dining choices on the island. The Shops at Kukui’ula Village are located next door to Koloa Landing and can be accessed by dedicated walking path and a short 4 or 5 minute walk. Additionally, we are only about ½ mile down the road from Poipu Shopping Village (site of the renowned Puka Dog) and a couple miles away from Old Koloa Town.

Do you offer housekeeping?

We offer daily housekeeping refreshes and full cleanings every third day. What this means is, we empty trash receptacles, change towels, and replace amenities every day. Full cleanings occur every third day and additional cleanings can be purchased.

What dining options does Koloa Landing have on property?

We have a 3 meal Gourmet Marketplace which serves made-to-order light menu items such as sandwiches, salads and pizzas. Additionally, our Marketplace sells groceries to stock up your Villa’s kitchen, alcohol and even sundries, such as sunscreen and even speakers to connect to your iPod or iPhone to play music poolside. Perhaps Yani’s In the Morning Light, while you ponder life’s deep questions?

Does Koloa Landing have day passes for the pool?

No. Both pools are available to all guests with keycards between the hours of 5:30am and 10:30pm 7 days a week.

What are the hours at the front desk?

Our front desk is open 24-hours a day to serve you, help you check in or check out.

What is Koloa Landing’s early arrival and late check out policy?

Both are available upon request but not guaranteed. There are no fees associated with Early Check ins. However, late check out’s, if available, are subject to fee’s. The resort can also store your belongings free of charge while you and your family enjoy on-site or local activities.

Does Koloa Landing have cribs & highchairs available?

Yes, we have both cribs & highchairs available free of charge. Quantity is limited and thus cannot be guaranteed.

Can Koloa Landing guarantee a specific Villa or building?

We do take requests for specific locations, ie specific floor, building, etc. However, we cannot guarantee these requests but will make every effort to put guests where they would be most comfortable.

What grocery shopping services are available at Koloa Landing?

Shopping services are available via the Koloa Landing Concierge. We have itemized shopping lists for you to select from or you can make special requests and have all the groceries available in your Villa upon arrival. You can contact the Concierge directly at (808) 240 – 6609.

Does Koloa Landing offer shuttle services?

We have two passenger shuttles available to take guests anywhere within the immediate Poipu area, free of charge. 

What nightlife do you have on Kauai?

Typically on Kauai the days start and end early. There are a multitude of outdoor activities to enjoy, from ziplining to sunset dinner cruises, which means most of the action takes place while the sun is up. There are live music options right next door at Tortilla Republic or Merriman’s. Both options offer a full bar as well. Stevenson’s Lounge at the Hyatt is another great place to go or Keoki’s Paradise just down the road. Friday night’s in Hanapepe boast an Art Walk.

Does Koloa Landing have sofa sleepers or roll-aways?

Every Villa comes with a queen sized sofa sleeper in the living room. We do not offer roll-away beds.

Is Koloa Landing a timeshare?

No. Our Villas are whole ownership. That means each Kauai Beach Villa has one owner. This is very different from a timeshare in that we do not market to our guests or broadcast the real estate component to the property. Guests that stay with Koloa Landing Resort will NOT have to sit through long or boring presentations. To the guest, we are no different from any other hotel/resort.

Does Koloa Landing charge a resort fee?

Yes. A nightly resort fee of $32 is applied to all bookings and includes access to Wifi for up to 8 devices, on-site parking, welcome amenity, check-in POG juice or cocktail, and more. Call or email for more information.
